Tooth extraction may be needed for several reasons. Some teeth simply cannot be saved due to deep fracture, decay, or infection. Other teeth may be removed for orthodontics or for a denture. Problematic wisdom teeth are also commonly removed.

After an extraction we can look at possible restorative options. There are a number of options available. If you are having a tooth out on your first visit with us, we will go over some general information for you and help you decide on any treatment plan ideas going forward. Usually yes, Jobs involving heavy lifting or bending may need a day off. In most cases you can return to your normal day after dental surgery. Plan on taking it a little easy though.
Yes. A driver is needed however. For sleep dentistry, we work with with Moses Lake Dental Group and Apex Anesthesia and your appointment with Dr. Liedtka will be scheduled in Moses Lake.
Individuals and procedure are all different. Recover time will vary, but plan on 1-2 days of rest then 7-14 days until you're fully recovered depending on the type of surgery. For most procedures done with sedation you should plan on taking the rest of the day off.

Dr. Liedtka grew up in Texas and moved to the northwest after achieving his Bachelors in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Doctorate in Dentistry from Oregon Health and Science University in 2004. After a year on the west side, he has spent the majority of his career practicing high quality dentistry in Washington’s Columbia Basin in the communities of Moses Lake, Quincy, Ephrata, and in Spokane; where he currently lives with his Wife and daughter. Dr. Liedtka acquired the Odessa Dental Clinic in 2018 from Dr. Mike Condon and continues to operate the practice as a community focused family dental office.
